My Thoughts:
When I first saw the cover to this title on DVD I thought it was going to be a pointless and short anime series with annoying characters and badly done comedy. >_> This just totally proves the saying: "Never judge a book by it's cover." When I did decide, however, to take a huge chance by getting the first OVA DVD (released first), I noticed that it was actually a really fun show, and I already wanted to see the second volume.

Just as the title implies, the characters practice different magic spells in their magic club at school. But the only thing is that sometimes their magical chanting for spells could be too long/repetitive and be a whole event in itself, but I guess it makes it seem more realistic instead of just saying several words or phrases o_O. The fact that the OVA episodes were kinda short made it more interesting and the way they introduced and revealed the character's personalities was also nicely done. The comedy in this show was priceless especially how Aburatsubo, a popular male student, is obsessed with Takakura, who is the president of the magic club and a "geeky" perv >_>. Takakura keeps ignoring him, but he continues being all flirty and lovey dovey with him. Also I love those random moments where Takakura would take almost everything he hears to a different level and have this sudden dirty fantasy of it. The crazy situations in this series are entertaining and full of laughs when mixed with the silly characters, that it really stands out. Some scenes though did seem to go by too slowly and bore you a bit, but it happens rarely and I'm sure it's done for a reason. There were also some characters that I thought didn't belong, but that was just in the OVA. The TV series in my opinion is much better, which continues from the OVAs. However, you should probably start with the OVAs first then go to the TV series to get a better idea of the story.

My Final Opinion: This is a wonderful series full of comedy and unique characters. Anyone should check this out, especially when you're into a lot of laughs and random strange events!
