You may have encountered certain characters that have resembled each other a lot in appearance, whether it's from anime or video games, etc. But here are the ones I spotted that I thought not only looked very alike, but also had very similar traits and other attributes as well. ^_^
Sora (Kingdom Hearts series) and Sion Barzahd (The Bouncer)
Okay, at first glance they might not seem very similar, but if you go into the details and origins, you'll begin to think they are more alike than most people might think.
Reasons:- Both have blue eyes and brown hair, not to mention, very similar hairstyles >_>
- Sion could even be the older version of Sora, if you really think about it o_o.
- They have similar attire. Both have short sleeve hoodie-type clothing and gloves, shorts, and some kind of "chain-type" jewelry around their neck.
- Both of their names begin with an 'S' and have an 'o' in it.
- They are both created by Square Enix. >_>
- Both are main characters in the games they appear in.
- Both have a girl they want to protect and fight for.
- If you try picturing Sora looking about 18 or so, you will probably get an image very close to Sion. ^_^
Quatre Raberba Winner (Gundam Wing) and Tohma Seguchi (Gravitation)
A pair you'll definitely pick up in similarity if you have seen both of these shows. The big giveaway is the voice actor who happens to play both of these characters. Then the rest will be quite easy to get once you watch both of these series through.
Reasons:- They both have those big eyes and short blonde hair with similar length (front/back).
- They both wear some type of "vest" attire most of the time in the series.
- The Japanese voice actor, Ai Orikasa, does the voice acting for both of them.
- Both seem to be well-known and have a big reputation as well as a high status in the series.
- Both are well-mannered and polite. ^_^
- They both drink tea in the series they appear in. (The love for tea really passes on, doesn't it ^_^)
- Both have an appreciation for music and play some type of musical instrument in the series.
- And just to throw this in, they both are Water signs. Quatre is a Cancer while Tohma is a Scorpio, so they tend to be emotional and intuitive in some way.
Ichigo Kurasaki (Bleach) and Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket)
A pair that has that "bad boy" appeal but with a strong hidden potential, and can be a bit shy and hesitant to reveal their true feelings and kindness. ^_^
Reasons:- Two of the few male characters that have "natural", short, spiky, orange hair.
- They both have a certain edge to them and a "detached" image.
- Both were picked on in school for their hair color or other aspects.
- They might also have random outbursts and sometimes "chibi-like" exaggerated facial features when in an argument. ^_^
- They are both hardworking in school work despite their attitudes.
- Both have had training in martial arts as a child.
- Both like to engage in fights and don't give up in them, even if the odds seems to be against them.
- They both have a special hidden ability or power in the series.
- Both are awkward in love and/or not easily moved by girls in most cases.
- Both might have feelings of unrequited love towards a certain girl in the series >_>.
- Both of their zodiac signs are Capricorns. o_o
Rosette Christopher (Chrono Crusade) and Bridget (Guilty Gear XX)
A pair that I actually got confused myself when I first saw one and then the other at another place in time XD. However, they indeed are different characters with very similar looks, but with very different weapons. ^_^
Reasons:- Both overall have a similar style and color combination of white and blue in their clothing.
- They both wear that similar square top "nun" veil, which both happen to be blue and white as well.
- They both have long blonde hair and bangs as well as blue eyes.
- They both have some kind of cross or cross-inspired design on their outfit.
- Both of their outfits consist of a type of skirt.
- Both wear some kind of white socks or stockings and gloves.
- They both use some kind of weapon(s).
- Though I was extremely shocked to find out Bridget is actually a guy o_o (It was almost equivalent to Sakura from Card Captor Sakura turning out to be a boy, >_> I'm just joking, but the shock would be equivalent to that, lol), I can't say they are both girls, but Bridget definitely looks feminine enough to be one. o_o After all, Bridget was born with a twin brother in a village where twins of the same gender were a sign of bad luck, so to prevent that misfortune, he had to be raised as a girl. (Sidenote: Major props to the creator of this character for that concept. I think it's very original. One of the biggest surprises I had in a long time o_o).
- Though I never got to play the newer version of Guilty Gear (not released in the US) to use Bridget, they both seem to have some kind of spunk and energy in them.
- They both have a brother that looks very similar to them, except with short hair.
- Both don't have very average lives, while one has a short life span, the other is raised and grown to act effeminate, despite his real gender.
- Their head shots are so identical at first glance, it can be easy to get these two confused or mixed up at some point, despite their real differences. Especially if Bridget weren't wearing his usual black hand cuff link around his waist, then they would definitely look similar from afar. ^_^
Mikami Teru (Death Note) and Oshitari Yuushi (The Prince of Tennis)
Not an easy pair to pinpoint, since they come from very different series. But if you come across them, you may notice some similarities that I thought were worth mentioning even though their personalities and story are quite different. ^_^;
Reasons:- Both have dark, spikey, semi-medium-long hair.
- Both wear glasses.
- Although not very evident, both tend to somehow have a very "cool" or self assured persona most of the time, when they are actually extremely loyal, sensitive and full of emotion underneath. For example, Oshitari chooses to wear glasses (when he has perfect vision) in order to give him a "cooler" appeal. And Mikami may appear to be a very level headed and independent person when he's seen doing his daily activities, but he's actually a loyal follower and very dependent "servant" to his "God."
- Both have Blood Type A. ^_^
- Both are Air signs, Mikami is a Gemini while Oshitari is a Libra, so they tend to be intellectual and communicative.
Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket) and Tenma Morimura (Harukanaru Toki no Naka de)
A pair that is much more alike in appearance than in personality. Most people will notice the similarity almost immediately if they have come across this newer series and are familiar with Kyo. ^^
Reasons:- Both have orange hair with very similar short hair styles.
- Both are voiced by Seki Tomokazu. ^^
- They are not afraid to fight or challenge another.
- They are both are laid back and tend to wear casual clothes.
- Similar age, around 16-17.
- Very similar shape of eyes, though the color is slightly different.
- Both have come kind of "relationship" with the main female character. ^^
Riku (Kingdom Hearts) and Eyes Rutherford (Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna)
Could it be a coincidence? o_o
Reasons:- Both have medium/long length silver hair in very similar spikey styles.
- They can both be seen wearing a black blindfold at some point. o_o
- Neither of them wear the blindfolds ALL the time.
- If you picture Riku in anime form, he may look very similar to Eyes. >_>
- Referring just in these images, they are both also wearing all black attire. ^^
- Both of them are trying in some way to find out who they really are.
- Both often tend to be paired with their best friend, who coincidentally both happen to be male with brown hair. XD Riku with Sora and Eyes with Kanone. XD
- This is not for certain, but I think I may have came across a Kingdom Hearts article that mentions one of them was modeled after or inspired by the other, but I may be wrong. <_<
Momiji Sohma (Fruits Basket) and Mitsukuni Haninozuka "Honey" (Ouran High School Host Club)
So alike in so many ways XD
Reasons:- Both have short blonde hair and brown eyes.
- They both look and act very child-like despite them actually being teenagers (15-17). XD
- Both might be mistakened for a girl at some point, because they're both voiced by (the same) female voice actress, Ayaka Saito. o_o
- Both have a love for sweets and are associated with bunnies in some way. XD
- They both are "cutesy" and have a carefree, outgoing nature, with a deep past.
- Both tend to cheer up the atmosphere and may cry easily. XD
- Both come from a series with a female brunette as the main character. XD
- Both are the Water sign, Pisces. o_o
